McWilliams is very well known for her work as a philanthropist and for her volunteer time spent in the community. On numerous occasions, McWilliams has been named to the “All-Stars” of Austin, where she is located, American Statesman Fortune 500 list. She has also been a board member for numerous other non-profit organizations. Some of the ones she has served on are Arthouse, Elizabeth Ann Seton Hospital and Rise Across Texas Challenge. McWilliams is also a member of the Long Center’s Notable Women and also St. David’s Hospital Toast of the Town Committee. Being from Austin, she is proud to be a past President of Inherit Austin. Inherit Austin is an organization which was developed to preserve the architectural and the cultural past of Austin by making sure that the city’s landmarks are protected as well as the historical fabric and by safeguarding the unique character of Austin.
Andrea McWilliams has also represented different cancer nonprofit groups such as KillCancer and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation group. McWilliams also was honored to be honorary chair for Mamma Jamma Ride which has had the opportunity to raise money for non-profits that are serving those in Central Texas who are dealing with and fighting breast cancer. Currently, McWilliams is serving on the board of a global tax services firm known as the PAC Board of Ryan.
