Alexandre Gama Is A Master Class Winner At Cannes

Alexandre Gama had pulled quite the feat by winning himself multiple awards at the Cannes Film Festival in France. This festival is amongst the highest prestige for independent filmmakers and has rarely seen Latin Americans amongst their ranks. 23 Lions were awarded to Alexandre Gama during the entirety of his career. He also earned the Master class ranking in 2008. Once in a while, Cannes will invite him to participate as a guest judge.

Alexandre Gama also serves as a judge on the International Film Jury for the British foundation D&AD. He is considered to be the first Latin American to have a leading position on the international jury. He had held this position since 2004 and had followed up in 2008 and 2013.

The Brazilian Art Museum also appreciates his work and put many pieces up for display. His work is considered to be some of the most important in the Sao Paulo art scene.
